Meet

Juliana

Julianna turned 11 on June 23rd. She joined the BOA family in fall of 2017. She was a shy but very curious girl with brownish tangled hair, obviously malnourished. It didn’t take her long to realize we were harmless and very quickly her shy demeanor vanished. We did notice right from the start that this girl was strong willed to the enth degree, never had we seen the likes. We used to put out corn flakes at her spot for breakfast, she rather wanted fruit loots, next morning we put out fruit loops, and she wanted corn flakes. One morning I had enough and gave her fruit loops and of course it was the wrong choice, she refused and the standoff began. 1/2 an hour later she still had her first spoonful in her mouth, she looked like a very uncomfortable pocket gopher. Long story short, she did finish that bowl of soggy cereal for lunch. In school she struggles with concentration, we suspect ADD. She says she wants to be a Doctor, her favorite subject in school is English class. She speaks English fairly good already. Her strong will and determination are not all bad, that’s how she learnt to be one of the first girls to ride bike, and she never gave up. She can be very funny and loves to make us laugh. She loves children’s church and the Praise and Worship. She spends most of her spare time with her new doll and riding her bike. We love her dearly and she is an important member of our family
