Birthday: 9 January 2009
Clavincia turned 10 years old on January 9, 2020. She came to us in March 2018. She came from an extremely poverty stricken part of Haiti, known for its high rate of gang activity. She was often in danger and moved to safe houses where she was always allowed to stay a few nights. She was extremely timid and shy and did not want to eat very much when she first arrived in our home. She slowly built up her trust in us as well as put on some pounds.
Clavincia enjoys school and studies hard. Her favorite subject in school would be math and English and she has big dreams of becoming a doctor, partially due to the fact that she was never able to afford seeing one. She is a very quiet girl and often goes unnoticed but can be extremely mischievous and does love to tease us and clown around. She loves nothing more then be able to help mom and mommy Mona with some outside chores. She loves to do laundry by hand. It took a while for her to fit in with the other girls but now she is right in the middle of the pack and one of the BOA sisters. She loves going to church and especially attending children’s church.
She loves to play soccer and is a feisty little competitor, but a very good sport. She loves to play hide and seek, and because she is so small she has some incredible hiding places and is very hard to find sometimes. She is very loved and very important part of our family!
